I had a great time at San Diego Comic Con. Here are some photos from our “Zombie Myths and Misconceptions” panel, and assorted knavery.
Two items today: I did a little Q&A with Adventures in SciFi Publishing about Zombie, Indiana. You can read it here. I won’t be able to attend the tenth annual Louisville Zombie Attack this year on August 29, but if you’re an undead Kentuckian, you should totally check it out! I’ll be appearing on the panel: “Zombie Myths & Misconceptions” on Friday, July 25th at 8:30pm at San Diego Comic Con. Our group will include such zombie luminaries as Matt Mogk, Max Brooks, Steve Schlozman, and Aaron Sagers! Stop on by!
This coming Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, I’ll be a guest on the Nick Digilio Show on WGN Radio, 720AM in Chicago, from 2am-4am, to talk about zombies, horror writing, and my newest book Zombie, Indiana. Not in Chicago? You can tune in online here. UPDATE: You can listen to the podcast here.
Hey Illinois zombie fans, this Saturday the 14th, I’ll be appearing at the Kankakee Fantasy Con (201 E. Merchant Street, Kankakee, IL) from 10am-3pm. Come on out and say hey!
Chicagoland zombie fans, I’ll be signing books at the Printers Row Lit Festival on Saturday the 7th from 2pm-6pm in the Chicago Writers Association tent. Stop on by and get rained on! And a signed zombie book.
My new novel Zombie, Indiana goes on sale today in bookstores across the country, and I’ll be doing a reading this coming Saturday in (where else?) Indiana at the Carmel Barnes and Noble at 7pm. You can also order a copy online. And I’m using this page to archive blurbs and reviews. Huzzah!
Here is a delightful new short zombie film with Stuart Pankin. When I was a kid, I used to love watching him on Not Necessarily The News (a kind of proto-Daily Show that ran on HBO.) Check it:
Chrysalis— the new zombie film from John Klein and Glass City Films– will have its world premiere on Friday, April 23 in Chicago at the Logan Theater. Tickets are available now! John is an independent Chicago filmmaker whom I’ve known for over a year, and he’s incredibly passionate about this project. Over the weekend, I appeared on the “Zombie Genre” panel at Wizard World Comic Con in Louisville, along with Aaron Sagers (CNN, MTV, HuffPo, Paranormal Pop Culture), Jonathan James (The Daily Dead) and Lyndi Lou (Louisville Zombie Attack). Thanks to everybody who came out and made it so fun!
