The ZRS blog broke the story on Tuesday, and now Kotaku has a neat interview with George Romero regarding his upcoming adaptation of The Zombie Autopsies by Steven Schlozman. It’s clear the project is in the earliest stages, but it’s still exciting news for zombie fans! (I had a very positive reaction to The Zombie Autopsies, and you can read my review here.)
This is very cool. I actually tweeted the news right after our panel with Steve at Spooky Empire back on Oct. 7: “Exclusive tip told to me by Steve Schlozman, author of The Zombie Autopsies: Looks like he’s working on film adaptation w/ George Romero” – Twitter.com/aaronsagers
Such an awesome development
Well there you go. It was you who broke the story! I guess I need to get on Twitter. . .
Thanks for the post. “The Zombie Autopsies” by Schlozman is a great book. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
Although there are many opinions of George Romero shambling around the world, I think his movies are fun to watch.
It’s art. I don’t feel compelled to compare art pieces, I look at them for how they make me feel and if they’re entertaining. If so, groovy. If not, no big deal. I’ll watch another one. It’s very simple, which works for my brain. Some zombie movies suck, others are fun as hell. I admire any movie maker simply for the fact that they’re creating. Art for art’s sake? I can dig it.
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed reading the interview and the following comment string. Keep up the good work.
