As always, Spooky Empire was an incredibly well-run event with many fun symposia, events, and musical concerts. My favorite part was meeting readers. (It’s one thing to get a statement from your publisher every six months saying you sold X-many books, but it’s another to actually have people tell you, in their own words, what their experiences were like reading your work.)
I’d like to extend a special thanks to “Auntie Maim” who always does an excellent job of handling the writers, and who got us a kickass signing table this year. She rocks!
