This zombie chart from YAHOO! MOVIES is one of the best ideas I’ve seen in a while for organizing movie zombies by “type.” That said, I don’t agree with all of their rankings/positionings. (For example, I think the zombies from Return of the Living Dead are smart as zombies go–they use winches and operate CB radios, for example–but not the smartest ever; they still seem mentally stunned and can only speak in broken sentences. To the contrary, the zombies in Zombie Strippers seem much more high-functioning– they can work as competent [albeit murderous] exotic dancers–and yet this chart ranks their intelligence relatively low.
