The Press Release:

Mar 24, 2009 – First-time writer/director and Chicago native, Dean Millermon, brings the Tickle Monster to life in the campy, horror short film, “Gargalese” (www.axiommegamedia.com) premiering at the Portage Theater (www.portagetheater.org) on April 4, 2009, along with two other well-known classic horror feature films.

Produced by Laura Szymber of AXIOM Megamedia and Brian Kallies, “Gargalese” features not one, not two, but three incarnations of the Tickle Monster.  Special effects were provided by the Acme Design team located in Elgin, IL and Special Effects Artist, Bill Wieger, who has worked on such well-known films as “Species”,  “Titantic”, and “Space Truckers”.

Critically acclaimed composer, Jason Seed, created the original soundtrack that was performed by the talented classical group from Northwestern University, the Gentlemen of NUCO.  The soundtrack was produced by Dave Suycott and engineered by Kendall Stephens at Rax Trax in Chicago.

Thrilling performances were provided by an up-and-coming Chicago cast including; Tierza Scaccia, Mack Perry, Dana Gasser, Megan Hincks and Dave Hunter.

“Gargalese” will premiere in Chicago at the Portage Theater on Saturday, April 4th and will screen between two well-loved classic horror movies: “Nosferatu” and “Brides of Dracula”.  The movie event begins at 7pm, “Gargalese” will screen at 8:45pm.
